Open it in MS Paint or another image program (most computers have Paint) then go to the Image drop down menu, and choose "attributes" and reduce one of the numbers. The other should reduce itself accordingly. When you find a good size for the image, just save it.

Open in an image editing program and resave at a lower resolution. If you can't do that rescan the picture, most programs have the ability to specify the DPI ( resolution, Dots Per Inch) of the scan and make it lower. If picture is for screen veiwing only all you need is 72 dpi, anything else is just excess data.

Go to Start Menu, then PRograms, then Accessories, then Paint. You can use your Windows program called Paint to resize your picture.

Go to FILE, then open, then browse to your picture you want to open. Open the file. Then go to the Image option on the menu on top of the Paint program, then click on Stretch/Skew. Change the horizontal and vertical option to however smaller you want the pic.

Then just save it again but make sure the FILE TYPE is set to jpg again.

If you need more help, just contact me.

you could try opening the jpeg file in Photoshop and saving it again with a lower picture quality... or you could also make the image a little smaller in size... maybe crop it...

you should give a little more detail.. like the file size of the jpeg and the dimensions... like 1600x1200 or 1024x768 or 800x600 .. ETC....

it is extremely ordinary. you could click on the right button of the mouse and bypass to edit. After this methodology for enhancing the photo will be opened you'll detect the re-length or compress photo button. in this manner you could set the dimensions you pick. desire may help you :-)

You can go to downloads.com and download a software that will help you minimize the sizes of your files. Do a search for "minimizing files" on that site, to find the download. That's what I had to do to my computer. G/L
