He ISN"T bad for govenment! The country was founded by Christians - our Constitution, Bill of Rights, all were written by men trying to obtain religious freedom. That's not freedom FROM religion, it is freedom to practice their belief in God.
Government, schools, society are suffering because people are trying to force God out of the public sector and into the closet somewhere. Our society is no longer immoral - it has become amoral ---------NOT what our founding fathers had in mind at all.
HE isn't bad for government, society or ANYTHING - HE is necessary. Without HIM we are nothing - and, that is what we are becoming.
We need to realize how much we NEED Him.

While I don't think God is bad for government, I do think some people's interpretation of God can be bad for government.
You see, there's the actual God (the one who lives in Heaven and controls the Universe) and then there's different people's perceptions of God. Some people percieve God as being an all-loving, all-powerful being who wants nothing more than the happiness of his children. Other people believe in a violent God who wants his believers to harm or kill all those who do not believe in him.
Some people have some pretty whacked-out beliefs about God. If people took these whacked-out beliefs and were allowed to teach them in schools and use them in governments, our entire society would be affected in a very bad way.
Now, we can't force people to believe in a certain type of God (either the good kind or the bad kind), so the Government has just decided to remove him from the governmental system entirely (for better or for worse). Perhaps if we all believed in the all-loving God then the Government wouldn't have such a problem incorporating him (or her, depending on what you believe) into our governmental system.

For the record, Saudi Arabia officially supports the ideology of Salafi, which favors the spread of Islam. In fact, the Saudi's always choose their next king with the support of the ulema (or Islamic religious leaders).
This neither supports freedom of religion or freedom from religion.

You are SO right.
Let's look at all the benevolent governments that banned God.
Nazi Germany, Soviet Union, Maoist China, Castro's Cuba, Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, North Korea, etc. These are all GOOD examples of peaceful and benevolent governments who have given their people liberty and prosperity and freedom. They have also all tried to export their concepts of freedom and peace to their neighbors.
Let's hear it for Godless government!

Read the bloody religious history of Europe and the bloody History of Christianity and Islam from their inception -- i.e. believe like us or we'll kill you, God says so! -- then take a look at the world around you today and you will have your answer.

Take a look at Hitlers Declaration of War on the United States!
There is no rationalizing with a person who tends to use scripture out of context and without knowing any history
In Hitlers Declaration of War on the US
. "A historical revision on a unique scale has been imposed on us by the Creator"
You see, the CREATOR told him to do it!!!.

Because then the morality debates come in to play and the corrupt politicians will always want to stay away from those types of issues.

warfare right here comes forth fueled by works of severe greed, be that greed for funds or greed for administration. devil all started (or contributed to starting off by severe evil impression) what you're calling a warfare in Eden.

Depends on what you mean I think that there should be a separation between church and state and I definitely believe that morality should not be legislated.
