Of course they inhale water in order to get air out of it (through the gills), but you probably mean do they actually consume any of it? The answer to this is also a resounding yes. Every living creature needs to consume water, including fish.

Freshwater fish do not actively drink water, but absorb the water through their skin and gills. On the other hand, saltwater fish do actively drink sea water. Their gills process the water and take out the salt.
