Trolls are still around in private collectors club.

However, many of the troll owners had great emotional feelings toward these crazy haired creatures. Consequently, many of the owners wished that the trolls would have their 'freedom' and now the trolls are running amuck in the forests. Those who really loved their trolls, also wished that the trolls could become human, or other entities . So, if you come across one of these, it is a real collectors item

I know you probably know some of this but....
" They're squat, ugly, generally underdressed, and have shocking hair colors like lime-green, pink and orange. No, they aren't the neighborhood skateboarders. They're trolls.
Uneeda's Wishnik trolls and Thomas Dam's Dam Things are two of the earliest troll lines, dating back to the early '60s. The trolls ranged in size from 2 inches to life-sized and were made to resemble doctors, vampires, tennis players, farmers, cowboys, super heroes, housewives, animals, rock stars and more. Kids could also get Troll related accessories like halloween costumes, puzzles, records, paper dolls, playsets and vinyl carrying cases.

In addition to Wishniks and Dam Things, you can also find trolls made in the '70s, '80s and '90s by Hasbro, Mattel, Russ Berry, Nyform, Trollkins and Ace Novelty.

The craze peaked in the late '60s and early '70s. In the '80s, trolls enjoyed renewed popularity on store shelves and in the secondary market, that has lasted right up to today. "
