Had a dream that my husband was leaning against me and singing the song 'Behind the Wheel' by Depeche Mode and I was suffocating under his weight (although he is thin) but when I tried to tell him that I couldn't breathe he just closed his eyes and slumped against me even heavier and was singing the words 'I'd rather not be, the one behind the wheel' whilst I was gasping for air! What do you think it means?

Let me analyze this dream for you.

song = cheering, feeling expression
suffocating under his weight = pressure
"Rather not be, the one behind the wheel" = Something to do with responsibilities

Your dream is about responsibilities. You are getting too much responsibilities (in your mind) from him and you think he should take part of it. Singing in this case in your mind is telling you that he tries to get away from lots of responsibilities. That makes you suffocate and you couldn't breath. Is it something about finance or kids problems you guys currently have? Or just could be housework that you think it should be shared.

In dream, you try to project him to do stuff and somehow he is not doing the way you want. You couldn't even take it in dream about his singing. You felt breathless because you felt the pressure, and the responsibilities are getting heavier. You want to vent it out in dreams..

I could be wrong, but that is how I see from your dream.

It probably mean's you've a tooth infection? If i'm not mistaken, and by example, a lady of middle age, was dillusional for several years until she had a dream that her tooth was infected. The lady went to see a dentist, who insisted nothing was wrong, but she was ever more determined as her visions grew stronger. Eventually the dentist gave in to her requests and pulled the tooth. Low and behold there was a tooth infection and her pain and dillusions of many years dissapeared once the removal was over. To conclude, you'e a tooth infection, I mean what else could it be?

It sounds as though your husband is putting a strain on your relationship by leaving you to 'do the driving' (keep the relationship going, manage the finances ... one could read it many ways). You find this a burden and restrictive, yet you don't feel you can tell him.

How does that sound for an interpretation? Probably WAY off beam!

It's quite clear- You are nervous and tired by the weight of your husbands responsibilities. He works hard but hasn't achieved as much as he could. He is still the boss and throws his weight around and expects you to toe the line but you know he is worried about work, money, the future. The only way of helping him and yourself is by changing your life! Don't allow the humdrum of life to break up what is most precious to you.

Just from the imagery of your dream, it sounds like you want your husband to make more firm decisions and be a bit more forthright in his dealings, maybe you find him a bit wishy washy on a sub-conscious level.

It means that you shouldn't be eating cheese before you go to bed if you haven't learnt how to control your dreams.
