Yes .
Sometimes people are using sarcasm in order not to show their sensitive side or their true feelings.
It is as if they build the wall between them and other people.
I suppose the people that they use sarcasm like that they are afraid to be approached by other people in case something happen and they get hurt. It is their defense.
Off course there are people that they are sarcastic and mean . :)

Good sarcasm needs sensitivity... Else it would just be plain rude.
Sensitivity is just being able to feel the emotions of someone else...or something like that. You can still be sarcastic about it in my view.

most sarcastic people are highly sensitive and emotionally perceptive, they just use the sarcasm to shield themselves from emotional injury.

YES. As the "Renegade Rebel that I am , I'm usually sarcastic
yet, deep down, I'm sensitive to others feelings.Not necessarily
motivated by them though.
