I'm sure some do, but I don't get caught up in it.
For years I starved myself and now I'm happy being me.
I am FAR from perfect, but I'm happy. So what is wrong with having nice curves? My husband is attracted to me and I'm not so big that I embarrass my child so why would I want to look like a bag of bones? Personally I don't like the way most fashion model's faces look; with the sunk in check bones. I bet without make up they have some serious dark circles under their eyes from starving themselves. Of course the girls in fitness mags are different. I think they take better care of themselves. I just would never have the time to workout that much, I can accept that.

Not at all pressured. Some models are very beautiful and of course it would be nice to look like them; but alot of the models in the fashion magazines just look too skinny and sickly, I would never want to look like that.

Girls just don´t know how much models suffer. They feel ugly and fat and are under constant pressure.
Once they are over 25, they are too "old".
Also, photographs are always made nicer.
This whole model business is so sick and so insincere - the only good ad in 10 decades is "Dove" - great chicks, real women.

very. it's not like i'm fat but i've got really strong legs with muscles showing. so i've gained muscle weight over the last few years. i've got a friend who's not like strong but she weighs give or take five pounds from my weight. she's on the way to getting an eating disorder. she started talking about weight in third grade. in the fifth she told me she was fat and now if you don't tell her she's skinny she will be hesitant to eat at lunch. but yeah. the thing is i'm just ugly which makes me feel blah. i've got clearing acne and a slightly larger (not too big, just slightly) nose. so yeah it stinks

women who aren't happy with themselves will be pressured to look like models. they see models as the perfect figure, the figure a woman should have. not surprising bc the media just adore thin women.

For me, it does...I feel ugly and fat even though I know I'm not...That's why I like the commercial for Dove... they put those women who aren't skinny and have a bit cellulite...I know many people don't like it- especially men but it's my favorite! I don't like looking at those skinny, boy-face girls. In my country we call them vjesalice...In English...--->hangers...(where you hang your clothes....) I'm actually scared of some of those models... hehehe...They don't look normal at all!!!

I sometimes get sucked in to it all and start to diet because I feel fat compared to those models, but I try not to be a part of it.

nope, cause when my boyfriend and male friends look at them and say "ew...could they be any skinnier?" It makes me know that men like all kinds of women, for all kinds of reasons, and that being skinny isn't necessarily one of them
