Your question doesn't indicate in terms of what. As there are many apsects about a person. She could have been a mother not out of her own choice!!!Though socially, they look as if they were abit not morally "controlled". whichever way, they are human beings like anybody else and deserve love, accepatance and recognation. Anybody can stray from the socailly accepted norms but most of these don't show so people escape with it!!
Before dropping the verdict and disqualifying her, it's also good to ask ;"HOW DO YOU SEE AN UNWED FATHER?"Thanks

Well.. this is the year 2006 so it is or would be considerably different from the year 1940 or below... When I see an unwed mother, I see an individual who had a fling and it did not work out.

I also see an individual that I might be interested in but I would always have in the back of my mind.... the child's father.. Is the mother still in love with the guy.. Does she still have some feelings for the guy? If I were to get more involved with the unwed mother, would the child's father be involved in any way and that is undesireable.

we wonder why you would take on such a responsibilty by yourself. Also, a child needs a father to be truly well-adjusted.

But we don't think you're bad or evil. Just maybe a little stupid or naive (for above reasons)

To the poster above. How could it be by necessity? If you don't want to have a baby, don't have sex. And definitely don't have sex with men who aren't gonna step up to the plate when you get pregnant.

Chances are, it is not by choice but by necessity. How can you judge someone that is under circumstances they cannot help? Even if were by choice, I believe that some women are strong enough (and better off) alone.

My mom was't married when she had my bro, I'm a little biassed.

Single moms are really amazing. Married couples have a hard time with 1 baby, one (usually young) girl is amazing.

There is a natural feeling in everyone for disapproval though no one can come out in the open.
