As a student of war, one knows that one attack is nowhere near enough to win a battle, let alone a war.
Exposing a vulnerability does nothing if you can't take advantage of it. It happened on one occasion. They are too weak, uncoordinated, and cowardly to try that again.
Iran and North Korea would have done something by now had they had the balls. Russia and China will help set them straight. You will see how an economic bond with another country (U.S. with Russia and China) is stronger than our petty differences.
Watch and learn, Danielson. Al Qaeda is discovering the same mistake Japan did after Pearl Harbor. The American will is stronger than any other alliance, nation, or terrorist could possibly imagine.

1. America responded to 9/11 by defeating two countries, one of which had soundly defeated a recent world power.
2. America rebuilt the financial system that was destroyed and is doing better on almost all fronts than it was before the attack.
3. America is rebuilding the two attacked countries in the same way that America rebuilt Germany and Japan. Both of the attacked countries have had democratic elections for the first time in their history and are at least advancing toward some kind of freedom.
It is easy to say someone is wrong, the brave ones go out and do something about it.

I don't think it is the start of a decline....I think it woke a lot of people up to the problems in the world. Iran and North Korea are just looking for publicity right now. I don't think we have failed in Afghanistan and Iraq. I think that it is only a matter of time before the gov't in either of those countries will take control...it takes time. And now with Israel defending itself...I think the insurgents have a new target.

To Nuke Lefties, your pseudonym says it all, you cannot be taken seriously. To slyoneone40068 be careful who you call a Nazi, what you say is a reflection of who you really are yourself.
I agree that the decision to attack Iraq was like attacking Mexico for Pearl Harbour but I also agree that Al Qaeda will be remorselessly hunted by the US because once it gets the bit between its teeth its got to follow through. But the real sign of weakness is the use of violence, which is a cowardly and easy option. Both sides are guilty of cowardice and no one is innocent. American decline, maybe, but probably not.

America's decline began when Bush responded to 911 by attacking Iraq in retaliation for 911. That was like what would have happened if FDR attacked Mexico in retaliation for Pearl Harbor.

They partly succeeded. United ninety 3 did not attain its purpose because of the heroism of the individuals onboard. They did not interrupt the yank spirit, they in basic terms bolstered it. For once, we weren't liberals and conservatives, whites and blacks, we were individuals. in the yank counterattack, we decimated Al-Qaeda administration, killing many intense-score contributors (and in accordance to some Osama himself is lifeless, because the yank attacks kept him from looking for clinical help for his kidneys). Al-Qaeda became decreased from between the best agencies on the face of the earth, with billions of greenbacks and limitless aspects at its palms, to a scampering disunited team really held mutually. also as an aspect word, all people who believes Al-Qaeda didnt have the aspects to do 9/11, is a fool who would not recognize how wealthy Osama bin encumbered is.
