I'm curious to hear about table habits and manners in different cultures. What are they like in your country?

For example, is all the food put on the table and then everyone takes what they want or does someone put food on every plate and hands them out etc.?

Is it polite to finish all the food on your plate or to leave a bit? Is it normal to refill the plate? Is it rude to make sounds while eating? What else is polite/rude at the table in your culture or interesting about the table habits?

Don't forget to say where you're from. :)

i'm from Turkey.. when u ar invited somewhere in Turkey, u have to finish what's in your plate and eating less is not polite.. u r the best if you want little more.. u can't leave the table until everybody finishes.. generally only the salads are put on the table and you get how much u want..

I'm told that if you ever visit India, make sure you eat with only your right hand. I'm from USA.
