Nothing much would happen. Nebulae are extremely thin clouds of gas and dust, much much thinner than the air in Earth's atmosphere. It would not be like the movies at all, where the nebula is like a dense fog. The densest nebula is clearer than the air on Earth on the clearest day you ever saw. The only reason we can see this things at all is that they are trillions of miles across.

Nebula's don't move, they are caused by the death of a massive star. Then we take nice pictures of those and add fake colors to make them look really cool. If a Nebula is close to earth, nothing will happen. However, if the star's death (what causes the nebula) is near earth, then that could be dangerous. A nebula is just a cloud of ionized Hydrogen (H II). It is also said to be the birthplace of planets and other stars.

Nebulas can't and don't move like that. A number of scientests theroize that Nebulas are new stars forming. If it got close to our solar system somehow (like it I said, they don't move like that though) Our whole solar system, and the nebula would probably start orbitting each other from a distance that wouldn't effect the earth.
