Heist/crime movies

I'm fascinated by a well made film about crooks doing everything they can to pull the perfect crime and the police trying to catch them. Usually everything isn't quite as it appears, and you have to think and figure out what's going on as you're going along. Here are some great movies in this vein, although that general description doesn't fit them all:

The Usual Suspects
HEAT
Inside Man
The Thomas Crown Affair (1999, w/ Pierce Brosnan)
LA Confidential
Snatch
Nine Queens
The Sting
The Asphalt Jungle

War and drama, and when isn't that together?
There's always a good cause (defeat the Nazis for one),there are always great heroes, good fightings scenes (the only problem is with this genre that it's mostly gory),there are inner fights too within a team or some members, there are tragic losses, usually good character developement (in good war films at least which are not exclusively about fighting - I rather play a wargame for that).

My top 3 war and drama movies are: Good Morning,Vietnam! (also my favorite movie)
Schindler's List and Enemy At The Gates.

I guess it would have to be Sci-Fi movies. Not just Star Wars or the Star Trek movies but the classic movies from the 50's as well. For example, Earh vs The Flying Saucers. Forbidden Planet, Five Million Years to Earth and of course War of the Worlds.

My favorite genre is comedy because I can always use a good laugh. Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle is probably the funniest movie I've ever seen.
But I like sports movies too, and it's kind of hot that you like football.
I play some ball myself...

I love fantasy. It lets me "escape" from the real world. I love Terry Gilliam's movies in this genre: The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Brazil and The Brothers Grimm.
