I used to be scared of them too. Once, I went to 6 Flags over Georgia with my b/f and told him how scared I was. We made a deal that I would ride one and if I hated it, he would NEVER ask me to ride again. I even choose the one to ride. I stood in the line and by the time it was almost our turn, I was crying. But, I rode the ride and I LOVED IT. The first one I rode was a wooden coaster (chosen b/c of no loops, etc) but I really like the steel coasters better b/c the ride is so much smoother.
Good luck!!!! I have been in your shoes before-the best advice I can leave you with is to just grit your teeth and give it a chance.

mr freeze is a ride you'll only go on once if you dont like r.c.
i love the batman; but i'll never go on the mr. freeze again!
and stay away from the newest r.c. (forget what its called) the wooden one,.but it is NOT fun; when i got off i had bruises on both of my legs and arms from it jerking me around so much.
and the guy that broke the worlds record on it cheated because he had padding all around him the whole time!!!

first of all, take a Dramamine (the less drowsy formula) a half hour before you go on any rides. this will keep you from getting any motion sickness. second, I think once you go on one, it'll be much easier after that.

Stand up for what you believe and feel. Tell your boyfriend to go on them alone or with someone else and you'll wait for him by the exit.

"I don't enjoy them" - the line doesn't say you're scared, only that you prefer other rides at the park. After all, you're there to have fun not "prove" anything right?

take some drammamine, dont eat anything at least an hour before you get on, and keep your eyes closed.
