Yes indeed it was by Black Box and was called "Ride on time". The singer i believe was Lolleta Holloway. Very good it was too. August 1989 it came into the UK charts.

Ride On Time by Black Box, they were some Italian DJs who nicked the singing from Love Sensation by Loleatta Holloway, who was not amused to find some androgynous anorexic girl miming to her voice.

wrong!!! wasn't black box at all its an old song by Loretta something or over - they just sampled it and mimed the voice.
