The position of the baby depends on whether it comes out as a trickle or a gush. Usually if your waters break the baby will come in the next week or so. Good luck! Ring your midwife if you're still worried. Let us know how it goes!

my water broke with both of my babies it was not a gush just a trinkle that lasted a lil while like i changed my undies then 2-3 mins later they were wet again i did not feel any pain or contractions for about 5 hours after it broke so i wasn't sure it broke when i went to the hosp since i waited so long they couldn't detect any amniotic fluid cux the dripping had long stopped so hurry and go to the hosp so u don't have to sit there and argue with the nurses that u know ur water broke they like to send people home alot good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well when your bag of waters break its like a gush of warm water. and thats when you need to rush to the hospital because your baby cannot live inside you without that. But a trickle then you may want to call your doctor cause your bag of waters are probably leaking and could actually bust at any moment.

Go to the doctor/hospital to be sure. They can do a pH test of your discharge to see if it is amniotic fluid or not. Better to be safe and go have it checked out.
Usually they want to deliver a baby within 24 hours of water breaking due to risk on infection so I would get it checked out ASAP

Why are you here? :-) With the problems you've described, you need to be on your way to the hospital right now!!! The same thing happened to me with my son, and I didnt know it, but when I told my mother and she took me to the hospital 6 hours later , they kept me and I ended up with a 28 1/2 hour long dry labor. NOT FUN!!!!! GO GO GO!!! Good luck and Congratulations! Better safe than sorry!

You must call your health care worker - if your waters have broken, which it sounds like they have, there is a risk of infection. Get your bag packed, girl, you're going to have a baby! Good luck!

You will be able to tell, trust me! Often they come gushing out. Usually it is continuous - the best way to tell if you are not sure is to smell it - if it is clear and has no apparent smell, it couldbe your waters. if not, it could be urine leaking out, or mucous, or any number of other 'lovelies' that come out of your vagina at the end of pregnancy
good luck!

You have to go to the doctor and they will swab you and see if it was amniotic fluid. It may have been a high tear so it just leaked a little. It happend to me as well. If it is amniotic fluid, they will want to induce you if you dont go into labor tonight.

When you're wet usually. Also sometimes water doesn't break all the way. Get back to the hospital ASAP!
