Car Bombers, suicide bombers, any kind of bombers, hijackers, well the countries around Israel have tried them all, and ever heard of a pre-emptive strike to save yourself and your own?
You know that the potential is there to harm you and the likely hood too is there, so wouldn't you take action to save your own people?
Israel is just proactive to defend itself (for a change the Americans are right)
And remember Mossad is one of the best intelligence agencies in the world.
I am not a Jew or American or Christan.

Because Israel practices a "good" religion, while all those crazy little Palestinians practice a "bad" religion. And Palestine called Israel booger eaters, and Israel beat them up for it. And the US is Israel's friend, so she took up for Israel. It's not nice to call people booger eaters anyways.
Seriously. This is the gist of it. Although I'm sure booger eaters wasn't in there anywhere. The Arabs and the Jews have been after each other for nigh on a hojillion millenia now, and to all you people that say "Israel has a right to defend itself", let's get something straight. Israel wouldn't even have a country if the US hadn't gone in there and yanked it out from under the occupying people who were already there. And nobody has any right to criticize the Lebanese for what they are doing, when Israel hold women and children in prisons. Oh ma GAWD, where's your human rights watch now? Oh yes, let's remember, Israel is not the US, therefore it does not have to give anyone due process. But it doesn't make it right. Both sides are deluded by centuries of warfare, and both sides are only looking for an excuse. You think those three soldiers would have mattered if they had died furthering Israel's cause?

Because its a fact that the Palestinians won't even admit to Israel's right to exist, that it kidnapped an Israeli soldier, that it sends suicide bombers into Israel and lobs bombs over the border at will. Sounds like Israel needs to defend itself to me...
You also seem to make no distinction between sending a bomb into the midst of Israelis on Israeili territory and a bomb in retaliation for doing so. I do make such a distinction. The latter would not happen if the Palestinians had not engaged in the former. In short they brought it on themselves, the reap what they have sewn. I have no sympathy for the Palestinians and no sympathy for the Lebanese as they have repeated the same mistake.
I fully support Israel and don't think its overreacting at all...acts of war have been committed and now those who committed those acts have a war on their hands... so be it.

So they can use the same warped reasoning to "defend" themsleves.
A little History for you:-
Part of Palestine was given to the Jewish people after WW2, that was a big mistake because the Israelis then proceeded to throw out the Palestinians, the Palestinians have never accepted this, they have been terrorized by Israel, and now they fight with the only tools they have, throwing stones, and blowing themselves up, and setting off the occasional rocket.
The USA Supports the many atrocities commited by Israel:-
http://www.action-for-un-renewal.org.uk/pages/isreal_un_resolutions.htm
and the American people are blissfully unaware that $90 Billion of their taxes has been given to Israel to aid it's "War":-
http://www.vestedowl.com/counterpoint_results.htm
Israel has a lot of influence worldwide so only one side of the story is usually reported.
Recently Israel has siege Gaza, denying Palestinians electricity, destroying infrastructure, and making it a virtual prison,
As usual the Palestinians have fought against this oppression, and a group of them managed to capture an Israeli soldier.
The Israelis then proceeded to escalate their siege, and killing of Palestinians who had nothing to do with the Capture of the Israeli soldier, world leaders said nothing.
Only Hezbollah would stand up for the Palestinians, and they captured two Israeli soldiers. Then Israel decided to punish the whole of Lebanon, so now Hezbollah try to kill Israelis, and Israelis try to kill Lebanese.
The USA responce had been to blame Iran, and Syria, and it makes me wonder if this was their recent agenda all along - to create an excuse to attack another country.

Not only do they fund Israels war, but the "defending itself" dismissal is simply to backup their own reasons for war with iraq / afghanistan which although "defending themselves" could have been an excuse if they made an effort to stop al qaeda etc, and make a better life for the iraqi people instead of just securing the oil and stopping there.
Although a war on terrorism, against saddam husseins oppressive reign etc may have been justified, its quite clear that the US just went in for the oil fields, not to help anyone but the American upper class' bank accounts grow. So they back Israels war with the palestines in principle with their own reasons for war with iraq/afghanistan..

yeah, it isn't fair. I sort of always supported Israel, but then I watched this movie called Paradise Now and there was this one quote that changed my whole outlook on things. One of the guys in the movie said something along the lines of "How can you be the victim when you're the one occupying." And it's true. Israel occupies the West Bank and other places, and Israel has all the guns and a massive military, so how can they truly be the victims when they're in control and can do anything they want?

ISRAEL does have the right to defend itself. They have been on the receiving end of rockets and missiles fired daily from foreign soil; their soldiers have been kidnapped by militants who crossed their borders. If the military do not protect its citizens from foreign attacks, who will? The people behind these provocative "acts of war" - leaderships of terror organisations and the countries that back them must be held accountable and must be eliminated. There is no other way. You can negotiate with people who are morally bankrupt.

Do U completely overlook with regard to the actual undeniable actuality that the Palestinians of Gaza were firing rockets & mortars at Israeli cities (electorate) for the previous 3 hundred and sixty 5 days ? If rockets were fired on a city interior the U. S. from Canada or Mexico, how do U imagine our authorities may/ought to reply ? !

The Palestinian contribution to peace in the middle east is summarized in their doctrine of the 3 no's.
1.no land
2. no compromise
3. no peace.
Followed by holding the opposite views when speaking to Western journalists.
