I have harmful adware located in the above file, but my spysweeper cannot remove it. Is it safe to manually remove this file.

Rename the last item in the string so that it cannot start and see if that solves your problem. Note, you may have to start in safe mode first to do that. If it does not solve your problem and you find you need the file (which I doubt) you can always name it back to what it was.
