True, but sometimes a manufacturer will not do DD so a DD is an E. And a C can be a D depending on the backsize!!
In general, in the UK, 34E is 34DD, except for a very small percentage of women 1% who are truely a DD.
To confuse more, a 34E is the same cup size as a 32F and 36D!!
And mostly these sizes were made up by men, so it was your lack of boobage, but engineering prowess got us into this mess!!
When you are buying, just ensure you check the labels on the underwear in the laundry basket, as that is the stuff she wears, most women have bra's in their drawers that never see the light of day.
And get the bottom size right, as those can not be exchanged!!

Of course the whole system has been devised to confuse men !!
For the benefit of the whole planet. Bra sizes are worked out by taking the measurement beneath the bust. If the measurement is even add 4inches to it, if it is odd add five. This gives the bra size. By then measuring around the bust we get the cup size. If there is no difference between the two measurements it is an A size. 1 inch greater-Bcup, 2 inches c cup, and on, and on. and on.
Add to thet the fact that different manufacturers make slightly different sizes, and the less you pay the less you get, and now you understand why women were burning their bras in the sixties. Most women are wearing the wrong size bras. Their must be a continent-equivalent land fill site somewhere with just womens underwear, discarded because it was the wrong size. We didn't invent the sytem, we just try to use it !!!

I think it has to do with women having boob jobs. Back in the days of normal boobs they bra sizes only went up to a DD, anything else was special made. Then women started to become bigger and so we had to make the bra sizes for the demand but we had already established DD, think they must have stopped at GG. I think anything bigger than a G is hideous.
Lea off Big Brother is awful, not at all attractive and they look painful.... Keep it natural I say. I'm all woman and proud to be a 32 D......

Actually they go A, B, C, D, DD, E, EE, sometimes an E is a DD, then it goes to F and G to avoid the double letters.
A 34 E is bigger than a 34D, by 2 inches.
34 is the measurement around your chest with 5 inches added (so your actual chest measurement by a tape measure is 29, then add 5), then you measure around the largest part of your bust. For each inch your bust is over 34, that is one cup size. So if your chest is 34, and the largest part of your bust is 35, you are a 34A.
This is also just a general guideline, the shape of your breasts, how long of a torso you have, etc, can affect the size of bra you wear.
Anything above a DD is just obscene. I wear a 34D and have back problems because of it. I don't know how women with these nasty fake boobs deal with the extra weight.

Bra sizes represent two measurements. The cup size, or the size of the breast itself (the letters), and the measurement arount the torso (the numbers). So a 36 AA is 36 inches around the torso with a small cup, whereas a 32DD is 32 inches around the body with a gigantic cup.

Are you crazy, what so weird about that. Imagine if your wife is DD in cup size which that is a real big breast, and you bring her a A cup size bra, which it is a small breast, then where she is going to put the rest of her breast in, cause only her nipples will be cover. The letter sizes mean how big girls breast are.
So don't confuse, chocolate with vanilla.

Whats difficult to understand about that?
If you dont know what bra size your wife is then I suggest there is something wrong with your marriage.
Anyway 34DD or 34E is a very nice handful and either pair would please me so long as they belong to a 19 year old.

Its all to do with the 'fullness' of a bosom! The more full, the bigger the cup, thats the letter at the end! If in doubt, rummage through the ones she's got for reference!

Wouldnt it be easier just to ask your wife her size or at the very least look at some of her other stuff to find out the size then you cant really go wrong!!
