Millions of people pray for the needy kids of the world, as I do, but I am also praying for this special horse. We are all God's creatures..and deserve a prayer when needed. Yeah..Barbaro is just "a flippin' horse", but don't forget that horses have been our companions for thousands of years. They have pulled our plows so we could eat, fought and died in our wars, pulled our wagons and provided our transportation, been our friends...all without hesitation or complaint. Humans wouldn't be where we are today without these beautiful amazing animals. So I don't see anything so wrong with praying for one of them when he is hurt and needs a prayer...do you?

Prayer is not an either or. Pray for the needy children, but pray for the horse also. All of God's creatures are precious.
Thank you for reminding people that they do need to pray for the children. They should do what they can to help as well.

I pray for them every day. Think about it next time you let something go bad in your refrigerator. That moldy mess you just threw out was one of God's gifts that you rejected.
By the way, God will help if we help. Prayers are good, but Oxfam, UNICEF etc. need some bucks to do some real good. Add up the cost of the food you've wasted this year, and send that amount to a reputable relief organization. I'm serious. I did it, and not only did it represent a substantial sum, but it made me more conscious of my own consumption habits. I spend a lot less on groceries now, and consider it a sin to waste food.

i agree, what is this world coming to...we are praying more for a horse to survive than we are for our own soldiers (barbaro is getting more attention too :-o!)
i think we should worry about the more important things in life (and/or world affairs)

F*ck the needy kids and the horse. Perhaps we can kill the horse and give the meat to the needy kids?

Yeah it doesn't make sense, the sad part is that TV news stations care more about the horse than people dying! Thats why they keep showing that!

maybe some people care more about a stupid horse, then the needy kids....they should have put the horse down when he first broke his leg....most horses have to be put to sleep when they break a leg...now he'll have to be put down anyway....shouldn't have made him suffer just because he won the stinkin' kentucky derby....
