The leaves turned yellow & The corms/bulbs have started to rot off & smell horrible. I've managed to save parts of some healthy corms but anyone know what caused it & how to avoid it in future. I've not over watered it but it has been in full sun up to 30 deg. C.

They need lots of water, preferably waterlogged. The heat won't be a problem, I've got some flowering in a pot at the moment, and its been 44 degrees Celsius here the last week.

I think you might have under watered it - I had some for years that I kept in a constant state of over-watered and they were deliriously happy! Until I planted the bulbs in the garden and they never came up again, poor little lambs - I absolutely loved them too.

It could have went through shock with the extreme changes. I'm not a garden afficionado, but this happened with a small lily that I planted and grew in a tiny pot when I was in third grade. I know, I know...

But me and my mother decided to re-pot it and take it outside, and it did the same exact thing.
