Because in general, conversations about gays and lesbians are in the context of society and culture.
Family and relationship issues with gays and lesbians don't need a separate spot in family and relationships since they are really not much different.

I think because it is said to be a type of cultural choice.We are not ready to accept being gay as a type of family,or are we ready to accept them as relationships at all.If you ever go into family and relationships,though there is much talk on the subject.God bless:O)
