I was once told that what happens to the mother during pregnancy is happening to the child. I would recommend going to the doctor immediately for a checkup. Think of it this way: your baby has a cold and is waiting for you to stop it.

You should really go see a doctor about this. When I was 39 weeks pregnant I developed a very bad cough. Even though I did go to the doctor they mis-diagnosed me with just a cold. When my daughter was 3 weeks old she developed the same cough and we found out it was whooping cough. She had gotten it from me. Many doctors don't think of adults getting whooping cough but they do. The immunization we get as children is only good for 10 years, which means after we are 20 years old or so we are no longer "immune". My older kids went to summer day camp and one of the kids there had whooping cough which is how I contracted it. My daughter had to be rushed to the emergency room and stayed over night. Luckily she did great and went home the next day without any problems.

I don't mean to scare you but it's best to go to the doctor now when they can do something about it so it won't affect your baby once he/she is born. You still have 10 weeks and whooping cough has an incubation period of 2-3 weeks. But it is possible for other people in the household to catch it. All they do is treat everyone in your household with antibiotics so no one can spread it.

Best of luck!

You should call your doctor. More than likely, the pain in your tummy is just your muscles. However, you'll feel better if you call your doctor. That's what he's there for! He can also tell you what meds you're allowed to take during pregnancy.

You should really call your doctor with this question...

It's most likely nothing, but you're better safe than sorry.

Best wishes. :)
