I guess it depends. I might leave a one liner... not TOO smart aleck, but getting my point across while pointing out something that should be obvious and isn't and then move on. I try not to take things personally, as many do, because its just not worth the trouble. I do post in hopes that it will get them thinking if I get the idea that they're prejudiced about something. That or I give 'em a line like they'd hear from there mommy... LOL.

Some people would get offended no matter what you ask. There are a lot of chips on a lot of shoulders out there...

It all depends on what kind of "offended" we're talking about here...and I am not easily offended. If the question was really discriminatory, mean, or offensive, I would probably say something angry; if it was just something I personally found annoying, I'd probably share my opinion with you, yeah, but that's kind of the point of this whole place, isn't it?

Then again sometimes I start to type something, stop and say, why bother, shrug, and go off somewhere without posting a comment, lol.

If a question offends me, I just go to the next question, unless I think I have something pertinent to add to the discussion...

I think people get way too bent out of shape here over stupid things.

No one forces them to read or respond to your questions, you know? LOL

I usually move on, unless I can think of some way of enlightening the person who wrote the offensive question.
Some people who post questions just aren't aware of the ramifications of what they are asking... small minds and all that.

There's still a question that will make me uncomfortable. I just think that they generally have a valid (not necessarily) reason why they asked such questions so I just do not allow myself to get affected. Live and let live. :)

I am honestly not sure what it is you are asking here. Were you put off by a woman who wouldn't answer a question you had about sex?
