AppleOne told me that I have to drive to that department to drop off my weekly work schedule. I had asked if I can fax it or mail it. The answer was no. The problem is driving to work is 35 miles south, and driving to AppleOne is another 40 miles south. This is taking a lot of gas money and put more mileage on my car.

At first I did not care because I did not think I would have more than a week or two assignment. It had been 2 months already and it seems to be still going.

I am not sure why you are working for this company, not sure if it is an extra job or what, but I would say that they told you they want it in person without saying so. And that is the only way they will accept it. You are able to deduct mileage on your income taxes if you keep track of your trips and as long as it is for work, if your tax person knows how to do it.

I would talk to them about it. It might be cheeper to send it priorty mail, or overnight it through the post office UPS or Fed EX.
