Its good , nothing to beat Johnny Depp, The make up and animation and special effects are awesum and the story at the end of the movie takes an aweome turn and makes you want to watch the third movie.but the movie also happens to be slow at times.Overall its a must watch.If not for Johnny Depp watch it for Orlando Bloom

I loved it too 1 The only thing I didn't like, in fact, I hated the fact that they ended the movie half way through..... I had no idea that they were going to do that. I thought the movie would resolve itself, anf if there was going to be a third one, it would be different, like the 2nd one was from the 1st one. Just another attempt form Hollywood to suck more money from moviegoers. Did they not think that I/we wouldn't go see the third installment? Why did they have to trick us into going to see the third one?

It was a very good movie (loved the SFX, all the fighting, all the love triangles, Norrington getting hot all of a sudden, even the ending) but I liked the first one more. Also, the second film leads me to believe that the final one (which I've heard is going to be called At World's End) will be pretty stinkin awesome.

SPOILER ALERT!!!
The movie doing that "Lord of the Rings" thing made me a bit miffed when I walked out of the theater. I wasn't expecting it to end in the middle of it. It was like going back in time to when they had serials at the movies every Saturday like they did when my dad was a kid, only you have to wait years instead of a week! And to have things up in the air when it ended... that was a bit aggravating. I'm on the edge of my seat for the next part and BAM! it's over until next year.
Other than that, it was pretty cool. But now I'm wondering about Capn' Jack!

i loved it because it was a close relation to the first..the special effects were amazing... but, the plot was pretty shakey.. something about the cast that was ever so slightly off,but then possibly to set things up for the next ?i'm hoping because it's the bridge between the first & third,that the last one will be as intensly wonderful as the original..i just hope johnny depp is going to be jack sparrow one more time !!

Left me saying,,,,"This sucks," at the end because now I have to wait for the 3rd movie to find out what happens.

seriously there were no pirates in the carribean that i know about & why would any one like to c an deadmans chest there are many other options.

I enjoyed it,but I thought it was a little slow at times. The FX were awesome and the character of Davy Jones is excellent.They certainly left us lingering for part 3!
