Italians won unfairly, one stupid guy spoiled the whole match by provoking another player...

Rules are rules, Italians don't make a big deal about the first penalty having been made up, but the French (even the French media AH AH AH!!) are trying to support the idea that when a player assaults another, it is the victim who should be investigated?

Com'on get real! French played a coupel of great matches against Spain and Brazil, but the Italian defense annihilated Zidane and he was pissed off! In thrms of provocations then, don't make me laugh a star player like Zidane telling a good but not as famous defender like Materazzi (who brilliantly contained Zidane:) "if you want my shirt I give it to you after the game" wasn't that a provocation as well?

This world cup is the best one I have ever seen and Zidane just made a fool out of himself - He spoiled the game for his country the Italian victory is a fantastic achievement!

The funniest thing is that by not admitting his fault Zidane is being more and more ridiculous, I am sure even the French will start making fun of him as soon as they get over having lost- French are not very supportive of their own team when it loses, I know that, I live in France.

VAE VICTIS

It was a brilliant maneuver.

Not only did Italy dominate with physical prowess, they matched it with mental prowess.

With Zidane having a history of being hot-tempered and the score what it was (how things might have been different if is was 1-0 or 2-0), Matazerri provokehim with an insult that will definately inflame him.

It works fabulously as Zidane head-butts and is now the bad guy. At a time when France needed him, Zidane acts like the petulant brat that he is.

Italy knew how to control all aspects of the game. They truly earned the World Cup.

I think Zidane's action or reaction spoiled the game, the victory and the tournament itself. Now it is even spoiling the soccer enthusiasm since for Zidane they are doing an inquest but when similar cases happened in the past (see Totti in 2004) Fifa and UEFA did not even move a finger, they simply suspended Totti for four or five games. Now they want to pass Zidane as the innocent victim. Give me a break.

There is no agenda, its common practice in all sports, anger you opponents to distract them and get them off there game. It worked and it got Zidane out of the game. Nothing is spoiled. Italians win get over it already.

zidane left his nation just when his nation needed him most.
(from a song)

he started the provocation anyway by telling an unknown guy that he could get his shirt after the game, he under estimated that guy and materazzi tried to piss him off, and won.

bad words are not a crime, headbutting is.
a guy died some years ago to be headbutted during a football match.
so you understand zidane should be punished by jail.
Zidane felt offended ? This is football, it's a continuos provocation.

Zidane if you don't want to hear bad words, go to play chesses !!!
