For math, yes that's right, but logically that's wrong because if 2 for one then you buy one with the full price and have a second one for free; you'll have to buy the first one with a full price.
But half the price sales means that you'll be able to buy one with half of the original price; if you want one item, you'll have it with half of the price, and not with a full price with a free another item.

I'll agree with what most everyone is saying, so far, and give another example.

When I go to buy a pack of cigarettes, the sign at the store says the regular price is $4.50, but they're on sale for $3.25. The thing is, they're "on sale" at $3.25 all the time!

When the distributors pacakage a buy-one-get-one-free two-pack of cigarettes, the store sells them for $4.50. I'd rather buy two packs for $3.25 when they're having this kind of promotion, and that would truly be half-price... but I can't complain, really. I am getting them cheaper, after all, just not at half the price I normally buy them.

Math...yes

Buying from a store...no because they raise the price up and make you think you are getting a deal.

For example: July 18, 2006 Pack of Soap Bars $5.99

July 25, 2006 2 for 1 SALE $7.99

REGULAR PRICE $7.99

SEE, ITS A RIP OFF!

depends on how you look at it

you actually have to part with the cash of the full amount just to get 1 so it is not half price

but if you were going to get 2 anyway then each would be half price as you have only paid cash for 1 full price

Yes -- it is illegal for companies to raise the price and then call it a sale.

If it is 2 girls for 1 guy then it would be twice as expensive for you.
