Legally you are still married to your husband, so even if the state you live in recognizes common law marriages its doubtful any of that would apply for the both of you. Just because you haven't lived with your husband for 15 years doesn't mean the marriage was dissolved.
Bite the bullet and get a divorce ... what are you waiting for??

Tell me one thing why have you not divorced your husband? You have not lived with him for 15 yrs so why not just get a divorce and finish everything... why do u want to carry around an extra baggage with you??
Get a divorce and than you be marry the guy whom your with.... than he will be your husband period!!! You do not need to worry about common law husband crap!!
