Very good, Jack sparrow's character isn't as held back as it is in the first film.
It's good to get a film where you hear Buggar instead of S*** and f*** all the time.

It was good and gave a lot more information about Jack Sparrows past. I found it a little confusing in places but it was funny and exciting, as the first was. The three way fight scene was brilliant I thought and very well acted. There were twists that I didn't see coming which is always good in films and little surprises and connections to the first which were enjoyable. I couldn't really choose between the first and second film, as when the first came out it was so good due to it being the only new and up-to-date pirate film available. Let's just hope they surprise us with the third one!

I absolutely loved the movie! It the was better and at the same time as good as the first one. I loved how both Will and Elizabeth had greater parts. Even though the critics say it was overdone and too hard to follow, for any true pirate lover it was a very awesome movie.

I saw it last night and enjoyed it tremendously. It is a long film, but follows on directly from the first. The special effects were fabulous; I found myself transfixed on the members of the Davy Jones crew and mesmorised at the various sea creatures attached to them! Captain Jack is oozing sexiness as usual and was hilarious as the Chief; very camp with his feather duster! Bloom and Knightley let the movie down in my opinion although Bloom was very good in Kingdom of Heaven.
I would say that Bill Nighy is superb and nearly steals the show from Johnny Depp, but not quite.
Good family fun which is refreshing these days.
So, roll on the third one!

The first film 'Black Pearl' was great, the second 'Dead Mans Chest' was butt numbingly boring and the special effects make 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea look positively modern.
Some funny moments, but on the whole a very weak middle to the trilogy lets hope the ending is better.

I saw it a few days ago and really liked it although it was a little slow in a couple of places (it is also pretty long c150 mins).
Be aware it is not a 'complete' story in its own right ... a bit of a LOTR continuation thing.
Overall, and once again, Jack Sparrow steals the movie - absolutely inspired.

Loved the first one, and liked the second very much. The only problem I saw with the second is that it was not as funny as the first. Lots of people are mad about it but I say most of their complaints (like that nothing gets resolved) are unfounded.
But the first one is fabulous :D

I thought the SFX were amazing. I love Cptn Jack of course but I find Knightly and Bloom so limp.
Overall I liked it and i thought Bill Nighy was superb, I always love Mr Depp so no point gushing!

Do you mean the 2nd film, if so I know a few people who have seen it and it is 50/50 split between very, very good & no good.

LOved it! the ending was great, captin jack is awesome, but Davey Jones' Men kinda freaked me out, scary looking that is. But great movie! Cant wait to own it & c the 3rd one! Go Captin Jack!!!!!!!
