1. I didn't do anything! They just decided to be mean to me...
2. I washed my hands.
3. I did my homework at school.
4. I won't go far. I will stay right in the backyard.

As a teenager:
1. Have I told you lately that I think you have lost weight?

3. I'll be home by 10 pm.

That's if you and your children dont have an open relationship- - i never lied to my parents about any of those things because i really felt i could tell them about my life without them rebuking me in some way. They just listened and gave advice. They only interfered or became stern if they thought i was doing something truly unsafe.
