We need Israel. The civilized world needs Israel. They are trying to protect themselves now after militants from Palestine and Lebanon raided the Israeli border and kidnapped men. It may be popular to pick on Israel, but they are critical to stability. Just because they have bigger guns, don't blame them as the aggressors. Israel is defending itself, and has every right to do so.

I dont think the U.S. supports Israel, but God is the one supporting Israel. Wouldnt you want to be on the side of God.

Because the other governments burned own our embassies, killed the people in them, and teach their children that the USA is the "great Satan". In addition to that, Israel is a victim of terrorism and they support a lot of the stuff that the USA does.

Simple. The Jewish lobby has disproportionate lobbying power. Israel gets over half of US foreign aid and we've gotten no benefit from it. In fact, Israel has done things to us like suborning treason and espionage.

because israel is a constant ally in the middle east which is important especially in such a volatile region ,in addition after sept. 11 the us saw a common enemy with israel in islamic extremism and relized they had alot to learn from them in combatting terrorism

I don't understand it either. It is wrong wrong wrong.!!! America encourages Israel in genocide. The Israeli does to Arabs what Hitler tried to do to them and America says nothing real about it. If fact I think America winks at them to tell them its okay. The world will turn against America more!!

I once heard its because Israel is the number-one arms purchaser and the US is the number-one arms supplier to that region.
Dick Cheney's no doubt got stock in those companies.

israel make actions that usa have effect
and that make them good "friends"
israel and usa have the same opinion about the radical arabs

Why wouldn't you support a country that does all they can to protect themselves. They haven't ask us to intercede. We are giving them moral support. We give almost as much support to Egypt too. Not hearing a lot about that.
