I am 24 weeks pregnant. For the past couple days I have felt cramping in my lower and mid stomach that almost feels like menstrual cramps. I don't think it's Braxton-Hicks because it lasts for hours, not just a few minutes. In fact last night I could only get it to go away by taking Tylenol, something I don't like to do very often. Do any mommies (or mommies-to-be) have any ideas what this could be? Should I go see my doctor?

It would be wise to contact your doctor just to be on the safe side.

I would go see your doctor just to get checked out, but I really don't think you have anything to worry about. If there was something seriously wrong, I can't imagine Tylenol making the pain stop. I had some form of cramping in every single one of my pregnancy's. But don't be so sure it's not Braxton-Hicks. I had Braxton-Hicks from about 23 weeks right up until my ninth month, and they would sometimes last for hours.
Good Luck! I wish you the best and a very happy & helthy baby!

era like cramps are very uncomplicated. extraordinarily once you're on the factor of having your era. you will have this sort cramping for 2-3 months. in certainty, i assumed i became into going to initiate my era yet not at all did. The cramps got here and went in the two considered one of my pregnancies. you may have categories cramps for the time of your being pregnant. in the time of the beginning up for the 1st couple months you anticipate your era you may sense like your era is going to return yet as long as there is not any bleeding is carefully widely used. Then, after awhile you may have cramping and almost like a pulled muscle feeling. it is frightening once you sense those. in many circumstances nonetheless if there is not any blood then that's from the implantation of the embryo and your uterus stretching. I certainly have had cramps with each of my pregnancies and that i'm 35 weeks with my 2d. Congrats on your being pregnant.

To set your mind at ease you could call your doctor. But it isn't uncommon to feel cramping. Your muscles and ligaments are stretching, and that can cause a crampy feeling. As long as you're not bleeding, spotting or have a discharge, I'm sure it's OK. But to be safe, just call your doctor.

i could be normal but if it hurts that much that you need to take tylenol then i would call your doc and get it checked out if you dont think that it is a big thing and it could wait till your next apt. then wiat but be sure to bring it up. sometimes you can call the doc and ask them what it is and weather you should come in or not. if there was anything wrong with the baby i dont think that tylenol could fix that

This should be normal "stretching and acceptance" of baby in your uterus. Soak in a warm bath. Try some mild yoga type stretching exercises. You will experience many aches and pains and strange feelings during your pregnancy. Nothing will be unusual and no two women will have identical pregnancies.

Good luck!

It can be normal, your body adjusting to pregnancy. What some peopl don't know is that your uterus contracts all the time, you just don't usually feel it. My advise to any one who has cramping and they are pregnant is to go to the doctors just in case because it may just save your baby

The tendons holding your uterus in place are stretching.
I had the same problem too.
Their is really nothing that you can do about it besides sit or lie down for a bit. A warm bath helps too. But they do come back.
