If you want it "clickable" start it with http:// and then www. .com

Like this http://www.yahoo.com

Easiest way is to copy and paste the link from your browser on to your answer. Or you can just type the URL in your answer. Yahoo will turn that URL to a link. You can see the effect when press preview. No special tricks.
