You could call up a big investment bak, like Goldman Sachs, Merril Lynch etc and ask about commercial paper in their capital debt division. Commercial paper (CP) is a very short-term loan... one day to a few weeks, and you get 4-7% on it. 80k might be too small though you'll have to ask.

Set some reasonable goals. Get educated on the stock market,(which will take many months), Then Invest in high quality stocks very gradually, over several years. Diversify by investing in companies in 15-20 different industries.

This way, you will have enough to take care of yourself in your old age. 'Da Government sure as hell won't have the bucks to do it, unless you're 64 right now. There are no shortcuts out there. If you think you've found one that seems too good to be true, it probably has a high risk that is off the charts.

Top 2 ideas:
1) Talk to a business broker. They will likely know of partnership deals or businesses for sale, plus expertise.
2) Make hard money loans to rehabbers in your area. Typically 12-15% interest plus 3-5 points up front. Security of first lein on property.

buy the max on premium bonds (Post Office) for you and partner I think its 30 grand. but the rest in a high interest saving account or (this is serious) use internet roulette and try following system.

but 10 GBP on Red if it comes up you get 10 back if it doesn't - just double your bet until it does (STICK ON RED) I use this system (starting 1.00 each time then 2 4 8 16 32 64 etc) have never had to use more than 64 then back to start again.

makes me about 100 - 150 GBP per day.

Buy a cheap property,do it up as cheaply as poss(without it looking too cheap tho!) then sell it on for profit...big bucks to be made...you could turn a property around in 6 to 8 weeks ..it helps if you can do most of the work yourself, thus keeping costs down -good luck!

I can accept you as a distant partner in my stock market investment business. You can have 95% of the profits I make with your money. No profit, no charge. Proper legal contract.

Buy gold and silver bulk coins and bars. The one ounce gold Eagles or Buffalos. Also silver bars (100oz) are a great investment. What I like is the privacy. They are easily converted back to cash whan needed.

YEAH YEAH YEAH I have heard this before. I have one thing to say and that is INVEST. and stop wasting peoples time. If you have 80k then why ask here. Get real. I would say give it to someone on the street cause it is more like you have $0.80.

If you are searching for a quick way to make money without risk, you are out of luck.

You do not mention your risk tolerance.
