SPIDERS

I have been deathly afraid of spiders my whole life, I didn't want to pass this silly fear on to my children someday, so I captured a few spiders and put them in a clear container and watched them...after a while they didn't bother me anymore. They are actually really fascinating creatures!

Being very shy. I became involved in many events and overcame a lot of it through all the events I had to go too in my job. It was a gradual thing over time.

Interesting question. After coming out of depression, I realized that one of the causes was fear of getting old and decrepit (not dying). I overcame it by realizing that longevity runs in the family and there's plenty of things I can do to make life more enjoyable. Read my story if you're interested:

Tornado's, actually. I used to dream that they would come and attack my home, as if it were alive. My siblings where the actual force behind me getting over that. One night, as my parents where out, my sister and brother (who are to remain nameless) (and who are 11 and 9 years older then I am) picked me up during a tornado watch and threw me out on our porch...then proceeded to lock all the doors. Mind you, I was only 7 or 8 at the time. Scared me so much I ran to our neighbors house. I really haven't been afraid since...I even attended college in Oklahoma! ;)

Airbagophobia. It is the fear of driving a car because the air bag will spontaneously explode in your face. To get over it, I bought a motorcycle.

white water rafting. I don't like boats, nor do I like rushing water, in which I could fall into and not be saved.. But I did finally do it, and I will never do it again. It was an experience, I has tense the whole time, never had fun.. But I did it, and im proud of myself for doing it, but never again.
