Djinn-djinn, or it may have been spelled gin-gin, because that is how that word is pronounced. Djinn it the Arabic word that actually is the source of the English term genie for a mystical being trapped and with the power to grant wishes. The dog's name was a nod to this.

Oh, and don't wear a uniform around him!

DJIN DJIN, PRONOUNCED JIN JIN!! A mystical dog owned by jeannie. Because of the bad treatment from the uniformed sultan guards in old Bagdad this dog had a severe hatred for Uniforms. Therefore when this dog was around Major Nelson or @ NASA, IT would turn INVISIBLE & rip UNIFORMS to SHEDS!!!

i think their was a dog on the latter shows and im not sure but he might have been called killer. he ran around chewing everthing up

Gin Gin used to attack anyone with a uniform on. He appeared in a couple episodes.
