I know the feeling - I'd tried to give someone knowledge - but couldn't make them think.

Give him a salt block (specially made for horses). Usually, the horse will lick the salt block and become thirsty - making him want to drink.

I think this answers your question - I was a little confused, so I'm sorry if I answered it wrong. Good luck!

Let it drink on it's own. It thinks that it's a trap when you want it to go there. When it's thirsty, it will find water on it's own.

I died the other week and went to heaven. There was this camel just walking backwards and forwards through the eye of a needle and loads of rich men banging on the gates. It was wierd.

But to answer your question, try injecting water in to the horse. Loads of it.

Did YOU drink the water first and THEN splash some on the horses lips?

Sometimes horses don't easily TRUST those that LEAD them.

Obviously it isn't thirsty.. just leave some water with it and it will drink when it becomes thirsty. ;)
