It will feel like a constant leak..With my last son my water broke in the morning but I was having a baby shower that day so I went to the baby shower instead of the doctor..It was a constant drip all day long to the point where u have to change your pad every half hour to an hour, I had the baby later on that night..But dont do what I did.If u feel water leaking(and U will feel it) go to the doctor or emergency room right away.

Most of the time it's very hard to tell if you have fluid leaking or not. If you think it is, then you need to call your doctor and and he will probably have you put on a pad and then come in. Their is a test they can do to see if it is fluid or urine (which can also leak at this point with the baby "sitting" on the bladder). The test is very simple and totally painless. They take your pad and apply a strip of special paper to the wet area. If it turns blue, it's your amniotic fluid. If not blue, then urine.
Don't ever be afraid to call your doc with questions. That is what they are there for. It's much better to call and find out that you were nervous for nothing than to not call and have something wrong.
If you are leaking fluid the doc needs to know because you might get an infection if it leaks for too long. Sometimes these little tears will heal themselves up and then there is nothing to worry about.
Give the doc a call and good luck!

If you even suspect that you have fluid leaking, you need to contact your Dr. Immediately! This is not something to play around with. If you do not deliver your baby within 24 hours of your water breaking, you are at serious risk of infection to the baby! I know, you are worried about looking foolish if you just have bladder problems, but nurses and doctors see this every day. Your doctor would much rather have you come to them and be wrong, than not come to them and be ill! My doctor told me herself that she much preferred a patient who would tell her when she wondered , than one who kept quiet cuz she felt like she would be made fun of! Don't worry about annoying the doctors and nurses, This is their job, what they get payed for! Just tell the doc, because they can do one tiny little test and tell you for sure if you are leaking fluid, or having bladder control issues!:)

it'll feel like you're constantly peeing yourself. the fluid should be clear. most likely when your water breaks you'll feel a pop and a gush to start with then it'll be a trickle. if you think you have a leak go see your obgyn and she can test for it. if she tells you that it was a bladder leak don't be embarassed.. it happens to alot of pregnant women.

I leaked fluid for months, with both pregnancies, they kept running test after test and said I wasnt, But by the time I got to the hospital (both times) they tried to pop my water for me because I had told them my water hadnt broke yet, and both times it felt like they were ripping out my insides, only to find I didnt have any water left!!!! All I could say was "I told you so......"

I don't know but if you find out let me know. I am 30 weeks and I think I am. I asked my doctor and he didn't even check me. He just said I was fine... even though I have been having pains in that area.
