A person like Gandhi cannot be categorized in such narrow terms and in such a simplistic way. Gandhi cannot be labeled a terrorist in anyway...infact he was always considered a freedom fighter, even by the British who ruled over India at that time.He played a very important role in india's struggle for freedom from British rule, but what is more important is the fact that he showed the world that freedom can be achieved through non violent means. He has inspired people like Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama, not to mention countless Indian stalwarts like J L Nehru and Rabindra Nath Tagore. He sought to bring about social change in India by eradicating poverty and prejudice.Gandhian philosophy and gandhian socialism are a matter of scholarly study. But i recommend that you read a few basic history texts regarding India's Freedom Struggle, just to know how important Gandhi was and how far he was from terrorism.Infact, it might be ironic for you to know that Gandhi was assasinated by a terrorist/hindu fundamentalist.

Outside of Imperialist world, savior with great discourse. Within Imperialist world, he was somekind of terrorist. Nothing more natural. than opposite views of sme fact considering political boundries.

He was quite smart, because created ne strategy were would be able to won without much losses, but that only could happen there, once the country has an history linked to think and consider philophy before everything.
It would not work in capitalist world or ancient belicose middleast.

Gandhi was an advocate of peace, so by definition, he couldn't have been a terrorist. A terrorist uses violence to draw attention to his cause. Gandhi asked others to instead use nonviolent means of protest, and did so himself. I don't know that he was a savior, but he was definitely a good man worth patterning your life after.

Neither, He was a spiritual leader who caught the limelight at just the right time. Not to belittle his accomplishments in any way. He was a great man but not either of the two.

Good question.
While he is part of history that I never personally experienced, it is clear that his wisdom transcends time.

A Savior?
Possibly to the Indian people.
A terrorist?
Not in the sense of killing people...but I'm sure the British government wanted to demonize this radical little brown man, who brought the Empire to its knees without firing a shot.
