because the ink they use for creating pink color is "pinky", and "pinky" is our fifth finger, and if you look at fifth color in the color wheel clockwise you will get "magenta", and notice that if you take a little bit of "magenta" with your "pinkie" and rub it across your cheek, you will get a "pink" color, it is as "pinkle" as that :)
