Ok my pc was formated and reloaded. It has an external speaker and they were working fine before the system was reloaded now no sound is coming out of the speakers again. What can be done pls.

Take your Motherboard CD and then run it
your speakers will be installed

Have you checked out all of the things that could be effecting your sound?

1. Try plugging in speakers and restarting your computer.
2. Check your sound button to make sure you are not muted or turned down.
3.If you play music, sometimes, turning down your sound via your media player effects all of the sound even if the media player is not up.
4. Test your sound card through pc doctor

First, find out what sound card you have. Find the DRIVER CD and load them or hunt the web for teh drivers. Also, check and see if you have the speaker muted. Some programs mute your sound for some reason. Also, check your volume control.

Re install the driver for the speakers. First try to reboot though. sometimes windows just doesn't see new devices without restarting.

you need to download and install the drivers for your sound card. If its a brand computer like dell, hp, etc. then you can probably find it on their website. If not you are going to have to find out who makes the sound card and go to the manufacturer's website and get the drivers there.
