Arranged marriage is still the preferred choice for many, because some well-wishers weigh the pros and cons of the alliance in an objective manner, rather than the boy and girl decide for themselves getting carried away in their infatuation. In India, this system has been in vogue, for centuries. Hence, it need not discountenanced. However, the match-makers should not be too much concerned with money. They must be wise enough to assess whether both the boy and the girl are compatible to each other. The likes and the likes of them should be given due wightage. No marriage should be foisted on the unwilling.

At the same time, I am not averse to love marriages either. The pitfalls in love marriage is that the persons concerned are too young to know fully each other. Further, love is basically a physical attraction and for it develop into an abiding feeling for each other, they need to face life together over a period of time. That is how

I'm not sure which is better but i know some one that is in an arranged marriage and they seem happy when I'm around marriage ain't all about love its about compromise. plus i think u learn to love and care for a person over time so that arranged marriage will end up being a love marriage

Poo, if any one directly says one is better than others, then it would not be right.
Research says that rate of break ups is more in Love marriage. This alone would not enough to judge arranged marriage is good. Best answer can go like this, if we know a person before the marriage and we know his back ground(family/Values) then arranged marriage will do well. Love marriage does not mean that marriage life is successfel. Once you love and get married, researchers argue that there is nothing much to know each other. Because they loved each other for couple of years, they both knows each others requirement So nothing new will come out. Instead, Arranged marriage will give the opportunity to know each other and slowely step into family life.
Best sollution would be, Girl/Boy whom we are going to marry, we must know him . Not neccessory to love hi/her and know. If we know from friends or family groups, we can definitely find out his/her characters.
so, nohting is better if Two human beings are not good.

In India, we believe that arranged marriages are much more long lasting than Love Marriages. We believe in marrying first and loving later.
Both has its own advantages and disadvantages. I am an arranged marriage guy but my own sister had opted for love marriage.Both have crossed many years without much problems.

In arranged marriages,two families know each other well and becomes compatible. Then they give a chance to the couple to know each other. Normally a group's predictions turns out to be right than two individuals blinded a little by love!!!

Love Marriage as there is no higher happiness than waking up in the arms of the one you love and that smiles back at you with a very loving look in his eyes and you know nothing can ruin your day cause he is there to love you and protect you for lifetime. Arranged Marriage is ok, but even if you are lucky and get a good partner, still it will be dry relationship as no love is there, just duty and responsabilities.

A marriage based on Love would have to be the best.Unless you are Lucky like Sleeping Beauty,and we know that is highly unlikely.I could not imagine having to marry some one I have never really met or talked to,Arranged marriages are generally for family status,and I see some of the readers responses was arranged if he is rich.Money does not buy happiness and it sure don't buy love.when you love some one you are with them committed whether they have 5 million in the bank or 5 dollars.
