It's possible, some time in the future. But even if all prejudices are overcome, not much of the population is gay, and, like in any other group, only a small percentage of the gay population would be interested in running for office. His partner would be called whatever a female president's husband would be called. First gentleman? Maybe.

Sad to say this option is not even on the radar screen let alone discussable as a real possibility. As for his partner, why the "First Lady" of course (and as a Gay man I can say this).
And, as you can see from the posts before mine, the bigots rule still.

I wouldn't see a problem with it, but sadly I don't think that this country would vote him/her in. Too many people are shakey on having a gay person in charge.
If it were to happen, maybe we could see the first ever "First Partner."

I don't think it would happen. At least not if he or she was out when they were elected. There are too many people that wouldn't vote for him because of their believe structure. I think you'd see a woman or an african americal president before you'd see a homosexual one.

yes!!! the more the country become intelligent and the I.Q goes up our mind become open to new ideas, look at the blue states.
