I took my wedding ring off over 20 years ago because my finger outgrew it. My wife still wears hers. She has never asked me to place another one on my finger. I would if she requested it but she hasn't. People place way too much importance on symbols. Without commitment the wedding ring, the marriage license, and marriage vows mean nothing. I could just as easily spent the last 38 years with this woman and never stood before a minister and taken one marriage vow. Commitment, not symbols.

Hygiene reason: if you cook or bake, you don't want crumbs or other bits getting stuck in your wedding ring, and/or other bits that are already stuck in your ring to get into whatevery you're cooking/baking. Also applicable to doctors examining patients.
Safety: if you do something with your hands that involve physical stress to your fingers, the last thing you need is a band of metal that may shear your finger to bits.
Not wanting to lose it: doing the washing up while wearing your ring significantly raises the risk of the ring going down the drain.

The only time I take off my wedding ring is at night before I go to bed because my hands tend to swell at night. Why other people take their rings off is a mystery to me.

I take mine off a lot, but its because of cooking reasons, putting on lotion, or other things like that. My ring is a symbol of my union to my husband,...but.. if me wearing that is what promots my unity and devotion to him.. thats kinda sad. I take it off often during the week, and unfortunatly sometimes may forget to place it back on if im rushed out of the house (though i always try to remember), but it is my heart that i gave to him long ago that binds me to him the most. He is my true love, and God has joined us together for a great purpose. Wearin a snazy little ring is just a little perk. lol.

I only take mine off when I am doing dirty work. If I am painting with my students or using glue to create an art project, I have to remove it. If I cooking and using my hands, I'll remove it. Other than that, the ring stays on all the time.

It relies upon on your history and lifestyle. not one of the adult males in distinctive generations of my kin have had a wedding ceremony ring and intensely few of the married adult males i have met placed on one both So in my view i locate it strange to ascertain a guy wearing a wedding ceremony ring yet some females do have a bent to "prey" on married adult males. once you're married then you definately will be considered as a safer guess for a lengthy time period relationship than a unmarried guy and also there is better of a challenge in triumphing him over for some it is hypocritical quite as he'd ought to divorce his modern spouse so the position's the loyalty in that? then back a lady will experience safer round a married guy as he ought to behave himself in concept. yet once you start up getting quite pleasant with one yet another it may bring about different issues so i guess some married adult males received't pick to threat attracting a lady's interest in any respect so do not placed on a hoop

A ring is like a trap, you cannot break it !! Occasionally if it can be removed, it will give a false feeling of freedom!! Thats why they remove it...but the poor guy does not know its not an easy trap to come out!!!!!
