With both Cook and Collingwood not walking when not given out after being caught behind, it has raised the debate about wether batsmen should walk off if they know they out.

Do you think they should walk?
Do you think they should bring more technology in to help the umpires?

According to the rules of ICC, the batsman should go out of the field if he is declared out. A batsman is out when the umpire signals it as out. As per this context the batsman should not go but many players will walk towards pavilion if they know that they are out. This is called Sportsman Spirit by many critics. For example Searching, Gilchrist and many players walk to pavilion if they are out even before the umpire raises his finger.

Umpires should not be blamed as they had to perform many jobs in fraction of seconds in the huge crowd around. So additional technological help for umpire is necessary. If the batsman walks off the field, it is the thing which causes less burden for umpire. Atlast I want to tell that there is no rule to walk off the field to a batsman without the declaration of the umpire.

Hope you understand this.

if batsmen were advised to walk if they thought they were out the it would definitley be used by some players but not by others so decisions should be left to the umpires. bad decisions make for good arguments anyway.

Maybe the bowling team could have 3 vetos where they make the umpire use the technology or something like that

There should not be any rule on jogging. that's why there isn't any longer one. usually a batsman won't be conscious of. And interior the situations that he does, umpires get an fairly severe share of calls precise at international point, and you win some and lose some. think of of the batsman who replaced into out for a poorly judged duck. If he's surpassed a lifeline next innings, is that this incorrect? What must be favored approximately cricket isn't how civilised it somewhat is, yet how unpredictable the script is. There are additionally occurences of Gilchrist no longer jogging whilst his team mandatory him to stay in. Batsmen are human, and desire to win, a rule on jogging could be impossible to maintain.

had it depended upon players to walk off or not the umpires had not been there.it is the umpire's decision to give a player out.but in case of a controversial decision if batsmen know that they are out they could walk off the ground by their own will.
yes definitely more technology should be brought to help the umpires be a better judge.

Yeah I feel so If they're sure they must walk or run but do anything.
They should also tell the umpires that they're out even though the umpire say he isn't. Because the batsman is closer than the umpire in matters of lbw, run-out of even stumped.

why not introduce this for caught behind and lbw whats the harm.
