For starters, the game takes an entire day, during which you might just catch about 10 minutes' worth of highlights.
Then you have the day long games go on for 4 days.
If you ask me, cricket is an excuse for people to sit outside and drink beer. What's wrong with just a barbeque?
*edit*
Ichi said "It helps if you have a good book to read whilst watching it on telly or 45,000 beers to drink when at the games ".
Just proves my point doesn't it? If a sport isn't boring, why would anyone need to find something else to do (ie: read a book) while waiting for the game to develop?

i guess it depends from person to person..as 4 me...im completely in love with the game and am a cricket freak!!
maybe u do not like the game because u do not understand it......it does involve certain tactics and strategies.....which probably ull understand only if u watch the game closely......
the length of the game can also be tiring 4 some........but ull get to know the fun of the game only if u have the passion 4 it.....
therefore i say that its not necessary that everyone would enjoy the game......but im sure that the ones who do really love the game!!!

cricket is not boring if you got time to watch ,in football you are famous when you score a goal but in fact the most credited player is goal keeper but no one remember him after match in cricket youcan be remembered for good fielding bowling bating fast running many more, if you are not supporting any team but when they paly good so you cheer up,cricket is not violent game thats why some people find it boring

It's good because you can watch it passively. it's not heavy watching so you can just get on with stuff while its on.
While not everyones cup of tea, and I understand that. it's more of a war with lots of little battles in it than an all action excitement fest.
I would definately say cricket is an interesting sport rather than an exciting one.

Cricket is brilliant, you just have to be in the mood for it....
It involves way more strategy and tactics than most people think but you have to sit through a hell of a lot of it before these things become apparent and you fall in love with the game...
Which I did, unfortunately when I was about 12!
It helps if you have a good book to read whilst watching it on telly
or 45,000 beers to drink when at the games
