Far too few Americans have the even the foggiest notion of Mid-East history or the truth behind the founding of Israel. As a result, they get cause and effect mixed up. The Israelis portray themselves as innocent victims or Arab aggression, but they conveniently forget that it was the Zionists who started all the violence in the first place. In 1948 alone, over 400 Arab villages and towns were destroyed by the Jews, and the Arab inhabitants either massacred or driven off their land. The Jews have repeatedly ingnored UN resolutions. Jerusalem was suppsed to be an international city by UN mandate, but the Jews invaded and took it over. The Jews have violated one UN resolution after another with impunity, having as a backer the pro-jewish lobby in the US, which manages to siphon off billions of US taxpayer dollars every year to fund Israeli genocide against the Palestinians. The Arab hatred against the jews is well justified, for the jews are anything but innocent victims. Sadly, most Americans only hear the jewish-revisionist version of events, which portrays Israel as the victim of unwarranted attack by its neighbors, when in fact it is the Arabs who were the victims of Israeli aggression and violence. The Palestinian violence today is but a reaction to Zionist-Israeli violence against them over the past 70 years.
Can you imagine the US bombing an airport in a foreign country just because a couple US soldiers were captured by nationals of that country? Israel's attitude defies logic, and ALL its actions are misguided and detrimental to a peaceful solution to the problems it created in the first place.

I wonder where you see those Israelis pop up all over the place. I haven't seen one. Except for a few Israeli politicians on TV, which is natural, I guess. Maybe you are talking about Jews but those aren't necessarily Israelis, note the difference, please. Being Jewish is a relion like being Catholic or Protestant. Noone ever calls Catholics Vaticans or Protestants Eisenachs.
The Israelis, people who are residents of Israel, have a right to defend themselves when they are under attack and they have been under attack for years and years now. How come the media rarely shows Israeli children killed or mutilated by suicide bombers etc.? Please, think about it - these pictures exist.

No. The Israeli military is amonst the most moral contained in the international. they're, besides the undeniable fact that, allowed to take care of themselves at the same time as attacked by a set of bigots and savages posing as 'human rights activists.' the kind of B&Ses that communicate about growing to be 'shaheeds' with stars of their eyes and sing campfire songs about massacring Jews. that may be the lovelies that Mr. Masarwa is representing. and they are allowed to quit ships from operating their military blockades...it is a military action. it will be the Indonesian military that gutted an unarmed Papuan activist before this week, then mocked him for 7 minutes straight away as he became death. merely considering the fact that we are discussing bigots and savages. Peace

Have you ever noticed all the scum who pop up as apologists for Palestinian and Islamic terrorism against Israel? Like those who who the last few days have been excusing the ACTS of WAR perpetrated upon Israel by both Hamas and Hezbullah?
Why have so many justified all the barbaric terrorist acts against Israel? That, next to this concept that Israel has no right to defend herself, is the most execrable rationalization of all.

Hey I'm not Israeli, I'm not even Jewish...I'll pop up anywhere they want to justify their acts--they are fully warranted and I support them even if they decided to level Lebanon and erase Palestine.
Note to Freedomhammer: I'm well aware of the history of the modern Israeli state and you are telling only one side and leaving out some facts.

Isn't Israel allowed to defend itself from the terrorist acts of its Arab neighbors? I dont agree with your question at all. Hamas has publicly stated its goal is the elimination of the Jewish state. Hezbollah is a terrorist organization that does not recognize Israel. All of the surrounding Arabs support the terrorists that attack.
War is coming, so get ready for it.

In other words, when YOU are in the minority, the others are all wrong.
Sounds like hatred of democracy to me.
If you had a majority, would you be wrong?
Your logic is twisted and false. Fairly easy to point out. I do hope no body needed it pointed out. Hope most people are smarter than that.

Israel controlled USA to reach what they want.
Unfortunately, Americans are too blind to realize that.
Christian Bush is controlled by Jews,
But again it's the strong media they have, that is washing their brains.
