Yes, you can change your own, small, personal world. Your neighbourhood, your community, your town, the minds of the people you meet and of those who read your what you write or buy your art, or are in contact with what you do.

By each of us changing our little personal worlds, we contribute to changing the big picture. Slowly, bit by bit, it can be done.

A individual cannot change the world, but an individuals good deeds and bad deeds baton is taken by the aspirants who love it. The more good deeds, the network will automatically spread, you do not have to preach. There are many examples like ...... Mother Thearsa who did a good deed in Calcutta,India still continue, the same way even the Bad ones continue like terrorist follow their senior terrorist. The bad deeds will affect many people but the good will affect only a handful. So we need more good people to do good things and help others do. You do a good work without anticipating or reciprocation. It will be remembered and some one who would be watching it will do the same. It may be from your Friends circle or from your family or even a third person. There is no end to these kind of acts.

Maybe but, there is a very long way until you can, because not all people are good. I for example live in a place where people are so stubborn, intolerant that love is not enough and you need brute force to win respect. I think this is how the world works.

Maybe alter it a little bit. Simply by getting people to think and do for themselves. Far too many people have become dependent on others for answers to questions they can answer for themselves. I raised my kids to be less dependent and more independent. I've learned that other people don't know it all.
