I AM ROOTING FOR THE YANKEES THIS WEEKEND!
Okay, it's just this weekend, and it's a one time deal.
But I'm hoping they win all 3 games against The White Sox.

Of couse I will be rooting for the Yankees with you this weekend. And I promise if the Tigers go to the World Series this year (and the Yankees don't) I will root for them with you as well.

Considering that the Tigers have the lowly Royals (who they had to come back and beat last night!), I would expect that their lead would increase over the weekend, as the Yanks are notorious for doing well in their first series after the all-star break. The White Sox should be the superior team to the Yanks, but will probably only take one of three...
And why would you want to root for the ol' Yanks? If they take 3 from Chicago and the Royals do a bit of damage to the Tigers, the wild card lead will shrink. The Tigers will need all the help they can get and as big of a cushion as they can get in the wild card standings, considering that that is how they will make it to the playoffs :)
Besides, don't you want to see the White Sox do well so that both AL Central teams will make it to the playoffs for the first time in over a decade? I'd rather have that than more Yanks & Red Sox (which we get bombarded with anyway!)

I really don't care if they beat the White Sox or not. Detroit and Chicago are both pretty likely to make the playoffs, so a three-game series against the Yankees won't matter. I just want to see the Yankees buried, myself.

I'm with you. I hope the White Sox lose so many games, they'll never catch up to anyone, not the Yankees, the Tigers or anyone else.

Im with you. Im also rooting for the Yankees all the way because im obviously a Yankee fan. It'll be Yankees vs. Dodgers in thw World Series, im tellin u.
