By that logic you might as well kill yourself now because at some point in the future you will be dead anyway. It is called "the present." It is happening right now.

Fear. Fear that they will not survive unless they are earning, but the whole time they are earning they are spending. This vicious cycle is for the purpose of desire and want. We shall suffer dearly for it. It is also desirable to able to show off how much stuff you have.
We are constantly earning, acquiring things that we cannot take with us into death. It is a waste of life. This makes a good point. Live a bohemic life. Don't spend your days worrying about money, doing things that will make you grow miserable with time. It makes no difference what we acquire and earn. Social status is petty and soulless. Let's not spend our days struggling for the almighty dollar.
It would be nice if we could truly abide by that, but for most, or everyone, we all need some money. We need to clothe, shelter, and eat. Many have others to support. Perhaps a small pittance is all some people need, but that still requires work and struggle. So why not find a way to make more money and work less? If enough money can be made, and we don't live beyond our means we can save. The key is saving. Saving enough until we don't have to work anymore. That should be just a few years before you're ready to die. Sucks doesn't it? Welcome to Capitalism.
And Capitalism is the best structure, so perhaps we shouldn't spend our days worrying about money, get a backpack, be clever, and drift. Hm, sounds like a plan for me at least.

I am working so that I can leave something for my son, and make his life a little easier. And hopefully he will make wise choices (better than the ones I've made!) and do the same for his children, and then it'll be passed on down the line.
You have to be prepared for emergencies in this lifetime as well. If you don't have any savings and you find out your car is unrepairable, you'd need money to get a new one, etc.
Try not to think of it as working hard just to leave it all behind. Leave it behind to someone else after you're gone, and make a positive impact in their life.

First to fulfill ones basic needs.
Then to attain higher status in Society - to be able to gain power.
Then to be famous and the richest and the most powerful.
Our society values power and wealth.
We think people who made a lot of money are hardworking,
intelligent and superior human beings - otherwise everybody would be making a lot of money.
Having a lot of money gives you lots of power on what you can make people do.
Imagine if you can build schools in every district you set foot on in your entire life.
Or simple build a castle in the middle of a desert.
It is your choice.

well... everyone has a different reason. But some people want to earn alot of money so that when they really need the money for an emergency, they have it. some people want to have alot of money so that they can but whatever they want. some people like to have alot of money so that when they need to help a friend in need, they can. and some people are just greedy. like i said, every person has a different reason. whether good or bad. =)

People have a usual tendency of craving more and more in their lives.People wish to earn more mainly for satisfying themselves or for making their wishes come true.This matter is just like a person who starts winning and continues it but if he looses he would obviously avoid it.These people when they get the trick of how to earn the most they continue doing it.They just get addicted.
